I love these mirror shots because they are the most honest and human images of Coop for me. Because Alice is a character, he is either uncle Alice, the guy he is most of the time, or he is ALICE, the entity that lives on stage. There isn’t really an in between. But this brief period when he is putting his makeup on is as close as it gets. He’s still himself, but he is about to turn. It’s pretty fascinating.
